More bug fixes and additions!

Faust again has released a new version of UTComp for UT3 with various bug fixes and extra features added.
Unfortunatly no net code just yet, but its in the pipeworks.

Local forum regular, or should I say virtuoso, 'Subz' recently contacted me and requested that I participate in a Radio Interview which focused on OceaniaUT.com.

You see there's more than meets the eye with Subz, the dude is actually studying Journalism and works part time as a Radio Producer based out of Bathurst.

Last week he advised me that the show he represents titled 'Homepage', which takes a look at all the best websites and latest IT technology, wanted to do an interview that mainly revolved around the OceaniaUT community. He also asked OUT.com forum member 'Lukeb' if he was up to it. So together we teleported into Bathurst's 2MCE Radio Station for the interview and came up with the following Podcast.

The actual interview itself was broadcasted live via the community broadcasting sector on Subz's show 'Homepage' (3pm every Monday for Subz groupies & fanboiz) and to a potential audience of 3 million peeps. Lukeb and I are now celeb's so we're expecting to receive thousands of fan mail letters very shortly. :P

April Fools: Melbourne Australia - Epic Games has today announced the aquisition of leading Australian/New Zealand Unreal Games Community 'OceaniaUT.com'.

In a transaction that's believed to involve a six figure sum, OceaniaUT founder 'Fulton Zylstra' stated that it was great to see OceaniaUT come from being just another game site, to a potential leading player in the Aus/Nz Gaming Community and was extremely pleased by the offer from Epic Games. 

'With Epic at the helm of OceaniaUT, we will now be able to expand our resources and opportunities far beyond the Unreal Tournament series games' said Fulton.

With the acquisition from Epic likely to be finalised in the coming weeks, Fulton also suggested that full time positions as Administrators for the new community are likely to become avaliable. Work on a new 'OceaniaUnreal' website is also expected to commence in the not so distant future. OceaniaUnreal will cover the Asia/Pacific region which includes, Australia, New Zealand, Eastern Asia & India.

Epic has just released their first Unreal Tournament 3 Bonus Pack weighing in at 160MB. The pack consists of 3 maps (including two remakes) DM-Morbias, CTF-Facing Worlds and CTF-Searchlight. PS3 users can also download the pack via the PlayStation Network.

The the release of Gears Of War 2 was officially announced by epic and microsoft. While some this was expected with the massive success of the first.  This release will surely boost xbox 360 sales in the xmas shopping season.....

The major powers in PC technology will soon announce a partnership called the PC Gaming Alliance. Apparently this is set to be reviled officially at next week’s Games Developers Conference (February 18 to 22 in San Francisco), and will include Intel, Microsoft, NVIDIA, AMD and several other computer companies.

The aim of the PC Gaming Alliance is to keep the PC as a viable and attractive platform for developers, and to remain competitive with the console industry. The consortium will coordinate and expand those efforts to improve the experience of playing games on computers.
